Marshall J. Walker is a trial attorney who brings passion and purpose to every case he handles. He believes that strong relationships are the foundation of effective advocacy and strives to treat each client with the respect and attention they deserve. Marshall is driven by a commitment to justice and takes pride in being a trusted guide for those navigating challenging legal issues.
Marshall focuses his practice on litigation, with early career experience in both trial and appellate courts. As an Assistant State’s Attorney with the Cook County State’s Attorney’s Office, he prosecuted a range of misdemeanor and traffic cases.
Before entering practice, Marshall served as a judicial extern to two Justices on the Illinois Court of Appeals and also gained civil litigation experience as a Summer Associate at a well-known law firm in the Chicago area.
Marshall earned his J.D. from Texas Southern University’s, Thurgood Marshall School of Law in 2024, where he was named to the Dean’s List and held executive leadership roles in both the Black Law Students Association and the Civil Rights Law Society. He received his Bachelor of Science in Business Management from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville in 2020.
He is admitted to the Illinois Bar (2024) and is a member of the American and National Bar Associations. Outside of practicing law, Marshall is actively involved in mentorship and community engagement through Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc. and 100 Black Men.
