Biography

Jacob B. Gordon (“Jake”) is a member of Gordon Gordon & Centracchio’s litigation team and was licensed to practice law in the State of Illinois in 2019. Mr. Gordon represents clients at both the state and federal levels and is also licensed to practice in Indiana and Wisconsin, allowing him to serve clients across multiple jurisdictions. 

Jake is a third-generation lawyer, following in the footsteps of his father, Larry, a partner at Gordon Gordon & Centracchio, and his grandfather, (Ret) Justice Robert E. Gordon of the Illinois First District Appellate Court. This family legacy informs Jake’s disciplined and result-oriented approach to the practice of law. 

Jake litigates a broad range of civil matters and specializes in personal injury litigation. He has successfully litigated cases involving motor vehicle accidents, premises liability, workers’ compensation, breach of contract, and fraud, and has experience handling cases from inception through verdict. Jake has recovered millions on behalf of his clients. 

Jake has broad experience taking and defending depositions, equipping him with the insight necessary to effectively challenge and present complex testimony. He treats every matter as though it will proceed to trial, approaching each case with the necessary preparation and strategic focus to achieve the best possible outcome. 

Prior to entering the legal profession, Jake was a collegiate athlete at Lawrence University in Wisconsin, playing baseball for four years. Through athletics, Jake developed a strong work ethic, reliance under pressure, and a competitive mindset- qualities that translate directly into the courtroom. He approaches his cases with the same level of discipline, preparation, and focus required to perform at a high level. 

Jake is known for his client-centered approach and remains in constant communication with his clients. He prioritizes clear communication, accessibility, and thoughtful guidance throughout every stage of litigation. Jake understands that many of his clients come to him during challenging and uncertain times and he is committed to providing steady and reliable advocacy tailored to his clients’ individual circumstances.
